During the holiday season, there is a simple way to express your gratitude to a delivery driver working for Amazon.com.

As a way to celebrate reaching a significant shipping milestone, Amazon is enabling customers to thank delivery drivers through the use of Alexa.

Beginning December 7, whenever a customer says, 'Alexa, thank my driver,' the driver who delivered their most recent package will be notified of the customer's gratitude.

In honor of this new feature, drivers will get an extra $5 each time a customer says "thank you." This will not cost the customer anything.

The company will continue the promotion until they receive one MILLION thank yous, then they'll reward the best drivers.

Amazon says the five drivers who receive the most "thank you" will each get $10,000 and another $10,000 to donate to a charity.

Customers in the United States who have an Alexa-enabled device (Echo, Echo Show) or the Alexa or Amazon Shopping mobile apps can access this new feature.

Why not thank holiday delivery drivers? For five seconds of your time, your Amazon Driver could earn $5.
