Jeanie Buss, the governor of the Los Angeles Lakers, and her longtime boyfriend, actor and comedian Jay Mohr, have announced their engagement.
Mohr and Buss have been in a relationship since 2017. During Lakers games, the pair frequently sit in Buss' second-row seats.
Buss, 61, was previously married to volleyball player Steve Timmons and was engaged to former Lakers coach Phil Jackson.
Mohr, 52, married Nicole Chamberlain from 1998 to 2004 and Nikki Cox from 2006 to 2018. A son from each marriage.
In the film "Jerry Maguire," Mohr portrayed Bob Sugar, a sports agent; he is also a comedian and a host on a sports radio show.
Lakers fans are frustrated with Buss's leadership. She said she understood fan emotions and vowed to "make it better."
Buss said she has a non-romantic relationship with Jackson, who has won 11 NBA championships as a coach, and relies on him for advice.
"He's someone who understands this environment, understands the challenges I face, and wants to see the Lakers succeed," Buss said of Jackson.
